I started working with PeopleSoft in 1997.

What do you enjoy most about your job?
I'm passionate about the product and what it can do for the customer when implemented properly.

What are your main areas of expertise?
My main area of expertise is working with clients at a strategic level, understanding their business objectives and helping them fully exploit the PeopleSoft product.

John  Barratt

I started working with PeopleSoft in 1995 as an end user working as part of an implementation team .

What aspect of your job do you enjoy most?
I enjoy the satisfaction when clients look to renew contracts. This confirms as a company we are providing a good quality service.

What do you enjoy most about your job?
I am involved on the client site and as with any project it provides interesting challenges. This also allows me to see the teams we provide have the same passion for the product and service I hold dear.

Matt Lawrence

                                                                                                                                                                                                                         When did you start working with PeopleSoft?
I started working with PeopleSoft in 1998 as part of a Graduate Traineeship with an IT consultancy.

What are your main responsibilities?
As a director in a small company my responsibilities are varied and challenging, however I am responsible for business development which encompasses sales, marketing and building and maintaining partnerships with other organisations.

I still play an active role on client site assisting with account management and supporting the account managers bidding for additional work.

What aspect of your job do you enjoy most?
I really like the varied nature of my role – one day I might be interviewing a new trainee consultant and the next presenting to HR directors. Becoming a director at Solidnet has allowed me to work in many different areas and learn new skills whilst thoroughly enjoying the challenges and experience.

Paul   Barnaby

                                                                                                                                                                                                                       When did you start working with PeopleSoft?
I have been working with PeopleSoft since 1999 as an end user, before joining a development team in 2001.

What are your main responsibilities?
I primarily concentrate in functional support and have established an end-user help desk and reporting package.  I enjoy interpreting business rules into functional requirements and detailed technical specifications, I have extensive data management, cleansing and management information expertise. I have been involved with this on a number of upgrades.

What do you enjoy most about your job?
I enjoy the diversity of my role and contact with clients.

Paul       Briggs

I was first employed in PeopleSoft in 1998 as a technical specialist with an IT consultancy.

What are your main areas of expertise?
During the many years that I have been working with PeopleSoft, I have been involved in all aspects of the ERP implementation from design and development to data conversion, go-live and post implementation support. I have a vast experience in PeopleTools, SQL/SQR, Mass Change, Application Engine and Data Management Tools. I consider that I have particular expertise in the support and development of complex bespoke customisations and excel as a technical team lead.

What do you enjoy most about your role?
I really enjoy the diversity of being a PeopleSoft consultant at Solidnet. I particularly like combining my functional and technical knowledge and translating business needs into workable and innovative solutions such as the recent Overtime module.

Shaun  Brooke

                                                                                                                                                                                                                              When did you start working with PeopleSoft?
I started working at PeopleSoft UK in 1996 in Customer Support before moving to Product Development in HR and Global Payroll.

What are your areas of expertise?
I have in-depth knowledge of PeopleSoft Global Payroll and HR and have worked with the product since 1998 in development, support and consultancy roles. My focus in recent years has been almost exclusively on Global Payroll. I have an excellent understanding of the product from both a functional and a technical perspective coupled with a solid understanding of UK payroll legislation. I see myself as an adaptable team-player who can add value to any project.

What are your favourite aspects of your role?
I enjoy seeing a project move from initiation to implementation, being able to contribute fully to its success and, I hope, have some fun on the way. PeopleSoft is a great product and it’s good to work with people who share a passion for what it can do.

Aaron Cornwall

                                                                                                                                                                                                                       When did you start working with PeopleSoft?
I first worked on a PeopleSoft project back in January 2007, although I had already worked in IT for three years prior to this.

What is your main area of expertise?
I have worked in a wide variety of roles from both technical and functional sides of the application. My primary skill set is that of a Database & Infrastructure Administrator, through which I can provide advice, installs, configuration and maintain infrastructures. Functionally I am skilled in many areas from configuration to support.

What aspect of your job do you enjoy most?
I really enjoy this line of work; it offers me a great opportunity to travel, meet new people and be part of exciting teams. I have a great passion for learning and furthering my skills and thrive on pressure.
 

John Eckersley

1998

What are your main areas of expertise?
Global Payroll (in the UK) and UK Payroll practises. I've been implementing HR and Payrolls in one form or another for nearly 20 years. I come from a business rather than technical background, although I have an appreciation of some of the techy stuff too. I have also worked on purely HR projects and I even did a bit of testing PeopleSoft Time and Labour once.

What do you enjoy most about your job?
Almost everything, I have been very lucky to able to do a job I enjoy for so long. I get a great sense of achievement when I can see that we've helped a client improve an aspect of their business.

Kerry  Farthing

                                                                                                                                                                                                                       When did you start working with PeopleSoft?
I first started using PeopleSoft back in 2002.

What are your main areas of expertise?
I am primarily a functional consultant and my main responsibilities include interpreting requirements in order to create functional specifications for configuration or customisations, fit gap analysis and data mapping. I also have an excellent Global Payroll and Absence Management functional understanding to complement my HR knowledge.
Additionally, I am CIPD qualified and have a strong interest in new and changing legislation which may impact business needs.  I am also heavily involved in running workshops to gather all business requirements from the relevant stakeholders, analysis and design, scripting and executing test plans, security administration and reporting.

What aspect of your job do you enjoy most?
I enjoy using both my HR policy and legislation knowledge.  I also relish working with end users to review processes and procedure to ensure these meet best practices and are as efficient as possible.

Katie FitzGerald

I initially started working in PeopleSoft in 2005.

What are your main areas of expertise?
I am currently Help Desk Support Manager concentrating on assisting end users with technical and functional support, security administration, creating routine reports and produce statistical analysis of the helpdesk usage to identify areas which may require further user training. I am also involved in system testing, production of guidance documents and presenting general PeopleSoft training and introductory sessions.

What do you contribute most to a project?
I enjoy interacting with users and translating their requirements into technical designs, particularly developing end user competency and knowledge.

Oliver Greaves

I entered the PeopleSoft arena in 2006, joining an Oracle Partner where I participated in a fast-track PeopleSoft Training Scheme

Do you consider yourself a technical or functional consultant?
I am primarily a PeopleSoft Technical Consultant with a sound functional knowledge to support my technical skills. I have a wealth of experience in Systems Administration, Security, Portal Integration, HR and Financial Reporting Tools, System Implementation and System Architectural Design in a wide range of industries. I have particular expertise in using reporting tools especially BI/XML publisher.

What do you enjoy most about your role?
I particularly enjoy solving complex problems and employing my analytical skills.

Deborah Healey

What are your main areas of expertise?
I am primarily a PeopleSoft functional specialist and business analyst with strong technical skills which helps bridge the gap between technical and functional streams. I have worked on many full lifecycle implementations and have gained significant expertise across a range business sectors with national and international reach, working with clients in designing and delivering robust and flexible business solutions

What do you enjoy most about your job?
I enjoy leading others to deliver high quality work within tight deadlines to the clients satisfaction

Paula     Jones

                                                                                                                                                                                                                      When did you start working with PeopleSoft?
I first started working with PeopleSoft in 2001 as a Functional Analyst on a major HR implementation.

What tasks are you mostly involved in?
I have performed a variety of functional roles including Functional Lead, User Acceptance Testing (UAT) manager, Business Analyst and Support Specialist.  I have extensive experience in the implementation, upgrade and support of the PeopleSoft HCM application, including version 9.1.  Whilst primarily functional, I have sound technical knowledge and am able to write SQL and use Application Designer proficiently to understand 'how' the products work technically.

What is the most enjoyable aspect of your role?
I really enjoy working with and advising clients on PeopleSoft best practice and with all aspects of their implementation, especially finding slick system solutions to improve business processes.

Nicola MacDonald-Dodin

I have been working in PeopleSoft since 1997 when I was employed as a graduate trainee for a major business advisory services practice.

What is your main area of expertise?
I initially worked for several years as a technical consultant but now work mainly as a functional and business process reengineering expert. I have created and delivered several HR specific training courses.

What aspect of your job do you enjoy the most?
I particularly enjoy looking at business processes and seeing where improvements can potentially be made as well as how PeopleSoft technologies can refine and improve procedures and practices. 

Sarah        Moss

I started working with PeopleSoft in September 2001.

What tasks are you mostly involved in?
The tasks I'm mostly involved with include gathering and documenting business requirements, functional design and documenting design specs, documenting test scripts, testing (SIT, UAT), training and documenting training material.

What aspect of your job do you enjoy most?
The favourite aspect of my role is being involved in a variety of different projects and working on different functionality - every day can be different.

David  Mulhern

I have been working with PeopleSoft since 2001, though started working in the IT industry back in 1999.

Are you a technical or functional specialist?
I have wide ranging technical skills encompassing Data Management, Integration, PeopleCode, PeopleTools and Query Reporting as well as Business Objects. I am currently responsible for designing, building and documenting business solutions to meet customer requirements which involve both technical and functional skills, therefore I think of myself as a hybrid consultant.

What do you contribute most to a project?
I always strive to build excellent working relationships. I thoroughly enjoy creating solutions and learning new skills.

Dave      Murrell

                                                                                                                                                                                                                      When did you start working with PeopleSoft?
I first worked on PeopleSoft in 2001, originally on version 7.5 then quickly moved on to a project using version 8.

What are your main responsibilities?
My main responsibility is the day to day support of all aspects of PeopleSoft HR at a major client. I am the initial contact point for all issues reported by HR, such as application issues, batch jobs and data errors. I then investigate problems to implement a solution which may be in the form of code change, data correction or advising on functionality. I also manage the change request process to migrate changes between the development, testing and production environments.

What aspect of your job do you enjoy the most?
The aspect of the job that I enjoy most is the variety of the work I get involved in. As issues can occur in any area I have the opportunity to work on many features of PeopleSoft including code, interfaces and batch processes. This gives me a good opportunity to see the customisations and processes that have been implemented to meet the business needs of particular clients.

Mark        Neale

                                                                                                                                                                                                                      When did you start working with PeopleSoft?
I joined Solidnet in 2009 as a PeopleSoft graduate trainee, having gained a degree in Human Resource Management from the University of Liverpool.

What are your main project skills?
I am currently gaining a wide variety of PeopleSoft skills on a number of projects. I am mainly involved in tasks including data cleansing, running reports and queries, producing support documents and assisting with end-users via a helpdesk. Most recently, I have been working on systems integration testing.

What do you like most about your role?
I enjoy the diversity of my role, working with a wide range of clients and learning new skills on a frequent basis.

Steve    Parker

I have been working in PeopleSoft since 1995, and for more than five years prior to this as an IT professional.

What is your main area of expertise?
I have worked in a huge variety of technical and functional roles in my career. I have extensive technical experience of all aspects of the application, including installation, data conversion, interfacing and reporting solutions. I have been involved in a number of high profile upgrades. Additionally, I have been employed as a database administrator and have over 20 years experience with Oracle products.

What aspect of your job do you enjoy the most?
I particularly like mentoring clients and sharing my knowledge so that they are comfortable to take complete ownership of their new or upgraded application.

Michael Sutcliffe

I started working in the PeopleSoft arena back in 2003

What are your main responsibilities?
I am primarily a PeopleSoft functional expert.  My key skills are concentrated in business process re-engineering, solution design and specification, testing and end user training. I possess extensive PeopleSoft HR experience including Systems Administration, Administer Workforce, Learning & Development, Recruit Workforce & e-Recuit, Employee and Manager Self Service, Employee Review, Security, Workflow and PSQuery. In addition to my PeopleSoft knowledge I am an expert in HR policy and Payroll.

What are the most enjoyable aspects of your role?
I thoroughly enjoy finding innovative solutions to business problems and interacting with both users and project members.

Adam Clark

I have focused on the PeopleSoft Product Suite since 2004. Prior to this, I was a software testing analyst.

What is your main area of expertise?
I have worked on several major implementations and upgrades of Human Capital Management, Financials and Supply Chain Management covering a variety of roles including development, testing, support and team lead roles. I have extensive database administrator skills coupled with solid experience of the Application Engine, Component Engine, PeopleCode and the full range of reporting tools.

What do you enjoy most about your role?
I really enjoy exploring recent innovations such as the PeopleSoft Enterprise Portal, and building complex bespoke solutions for clients.

The ability to deconstruct problems and devise a good solution.
The ability to work independently and as part of a team- delivering solutions, especially complex ones, is the best thing I do.
Engaging with different levels in organisations from board to users- as a consultant there are huge opportunities to get real access and engagement with all users and stakeholders at a client.

Rhys Williams

What are your main areas of expertise?
I have many years experience of working on complex, multinational HR change programmes. I have particular experience in Stakeholder Management and Process/Functional design. I am practised project manager and business analyst specialising in HR transformation.

What do you contribute most to a project?
I pride myself in helping clients meet business needs by looking beyond “system only” solutions and taking a more holistic view of the people, process and technology aspects of a project. I have excellent communication skills and a proven track record of effective stakeholder management.
